I worked with Eric when he was a Lancaster Officer, and I was the court clerk at the District Court. I was shocked and sad to see that he has passed at such a young age. He spent an hour or more one day, training me in the proper use of a firearm when I asked if he could give me some instruction. He was always pleasant and helpful when we were working. I am so sorry for your loss.

I'm very saddened to hear of Eric's passing. I first met him and his good friend George Feinberg kayaking on the Dead River in Maine a few years ago. Obviously skilled and capable paddlers, several friends and I asked them to join our outdoor club, the Penobscot Paddle and Chowder Society. Our good fortune was that they did. Eric and I shared several whitewater adventures together and he was obviously a very accomplished outdoorsman and paddler. More importantly, he was a remarkable person. Extremely intelligent, a true gentleman, very likeable with a great sense of humor, I thoroughly enjoyed his company. It was a privilege to know him and count him as a friend. I will miss him.
