William “Bill” Sencabaugh, 80 of Littleton, NH passed away on September 5, 2021. Bill was the son of the late William Elmer and Lillian (Reinold) Sencabaugh of Medford, MA. Bill was born in Medford, MA where he graduated valedictorian of Medford Vocational Technical High School in 1959. He followed this by serving his country in the Construction Battalion SEABEES of the United States Navy. He was a lifelong Local 103 Electrician and an avid Ham Radio Operator. Bill’s true passion was public safety and radio communications. This passion led him to found TAC-2 Communications in both MA and NH where he was president and owner until his retirement. TAC-2 provided top tier public safety radio communications throughout New England for over 50 years. Upon moving to NH, Bill joined the Littleton Fire Department rising through the ranks to Captain. His desire to help anyone in need and his expertise in radio communications made for a perfect fit. He was active with the Eureka Hose Company #1 Volunteer Fire Department Association and sat on the executive board as treasurer. His quick wit and sense of humor will be missed by all that knew him.
He was also predeceased by his wife Gloria (Akerley/Hicks). He is survived by his brother Donald Sencabaugh of Wilmington, MA. He is the father of Sheri (Sencabaugh) and Michael Burns Springfield, VA; Heidi (Sencabaugh) Sutherland Medford, MA; Derek and Judy Sencabaugh Lynn, MA; Darryl and Lisa Sencabaugh Sunapee, NH; Kyle and Rebecca Sencabaugh Billerica, MA; Arthur and Jaqui Hicks Orange, MA; and Doreen (Hicks/ Starkey) and Carlton Braley Goffstown, NH. Omni Littleton NH. Grandchildren include Maribeth (Burns) and Andrew Tesnow, Chelsea Sutherland, Caroline (Burns) and Dale Brewer, Matthew Sencabaugh, Erin Burns, Amanda Sutherland, Michelle Sencabaugh, Joseph Burns, William Sencabaugh, Andrew Burns, Alexander Sencabaugh, Joshua Sencabaugh, Jonathan Sencabaugh, Abigail Sencabaugh, Emily Sencabaugh, Jonathan Hicks and Ashley Carroll, Christopher Hicks, Nat Hicks, Amanda (Braley) and Adam Martinelli, Kelly (Starkey) and Sean Madden, Carlton Braley III. Great-grandchildren include Justin LePine, Lawson Martinelli, Lincoln Madden, Damien Hicks, and Gianna Brewer. Many nephews, nieces, and dear friends.
A friends and family gathering will take place on Saturday, September 18, at the Ross Funeral Home, Littleton Chapel, from 10:00 -12:00. A funeral service will be held at 12 PM with Reverend Lyn Winter officiating. Burial will be held immediately after at the Glenwood Cemetery.
