Veronica Lee Curell
August 19, 1958 - October 3, 2024
We honor the illustrious life of Veronica Lee Curell, or better yet, Mom. That’s because her best legacy is the seven children she leaves behind and the loving family that successively blossomed. Veronica Lee Spencer was born August 19, 1958 in Waterville, Maine to Madeline (Mullen) Spencer and Cecil Delmont Spencer, Sr. She was close to family- aunts, uncles, grandparents but nothing compared to her relationship with her only sibling, Cecil. Life was never the same after her cherished older brother died tragically when they were in their late teens. Cheers to their peaceful reunion. Veronica raised her first four children in the Waterville, Maine area before moving to Portsmouth, NH to work at the Naval Shipyard. This is where she met longtime love who brought them and two more children to Sanborville, NH. Several years later, the family of eight, moved north to the White Mountains of NH and the Littleton area would forever be her home. She held seasonal jobs while pursuing the most important “job” on Earth- raising five boys and two girls. Roni will be remembered for her robust ability to produce big family meals that friends wouldn’t want to miss, she was fondly referred to as “Mom” by the neighborhood kids.. Fond memories include family poker night, fishing, swimming and driving down the wrong side of the road putting on red lipstick. She loved animals and enjoyed her many pets. Music, the spiritual food of the soul, was another important part of her life. Her family celebrates that special sense of humor and electric personality.
Gma is survived by her children, in order of appearance: Kirk, Jasmine, Jesse, Dustin, Rikki, Rick and Thomas. Kirk Spencer and his “should just get married” (according to Veronica) partner, Kerri Williamson of Easton, NH and the two children, Tom and Katy Williamson. Jasmine (Spencer) Woodward and her husband, Brad Woodward of Mobile, Alabama and their two daughters, Nyah and Kylee Woodward. Jesse and Jocelyn (Nute) Curell of Littleton, NH and their daughters, Sophia and Marley Curell. Dustin Gabriel Curell and his partner, Alethea Sophia of Woodbury, Minnesota. Rikki Green of Manteca, CA and her daughter, Delilah Smith of Bozeman, MT. Rick and Ashlee (Weatherbee) Green of Littleton, NH. Last and certainly not least, Thomas Daignault of Littleton, NH.
A graveside service will be held Friday, October 11th at Glenwood Cemetery in Littleton at 12:00 pm with a family celebratory feast following at an undisclosed location.
