Timothy (Tim) Mark Coffield, 63, of Littleton, NH, passed away on July 9, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Born on January 16, 1962 in Chambersburg, PA, Tim was the beloved youngest son of the late Patricia McCusker Coffield and William T. Coffield, Jr., both of Portland, ME. He was a devoted son, husband, father, papa, brother, uncle, and friend whose warmth, humor, and tireless work ethic left a lasting impact on all who knew and loved him.
Tim shared 41 wonderful years of marriage with his loving and devoted wife, Karen Machia Coffield. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure in Littleton, NH. He was a proud and supportive father to his sons, Shawn and Michael and their better halves Tory and Lindsay, and a cherished papa to Isabella, Liam, Natalie, Dylan and Aiden.
Tim graduated from Chambersburg Area Senior High School (Class of 1980) and was a graduate of Southern Maine Vocational and Technical Institute. He was well known in the Littleton community for his skill and dedication as a machinist. He was a valued member of the NAPA Auto Parts family for over 20 years before founding his own successful machine shop business. He restored several classic car engines including his beloved MACH I. His craftsmanship and attention to detail earned him the respect of peers and customers alike.
Beyond his work, Tim had a passion for Grand Prix hydroplane racing that spanned more than four decades. He served as both a crew member and a crew chief, contributing his expertise and energy to racing teams across the country. In 2017, he was honored as Team Member of the Year for the GP79 Bad Influence hydroplane racing team — a testament to his commitment and camaraderie.
Tim and Karen loved traveling together, especially while supporting the Grand Prix hydroplane racing circuit in the U.S. and Canada. These trips were not just about the races but also about the friendships formed and memories made along the way. Tim will be remembered for his steady presence, kind heart, and deep love for his family and community. He leaves behind a legacy of deep love for his family, hard work, generosity, and the joy of pursuing one’s passions.
He is survived by his siblings, John Coffield (Hettie), Rick Coffield, and Julie Coffield (Bill Jones), with whom he shared a lifelong bond. He will be remembered lovingly by his nieces and nephews Amanda Stavropoulos, Angela Janes, Josh Coffield, Patrick Coffield, and John Williams and his grandniece and nephews Jackson, Emily, Brant, Lucas, Jordan, and Thomas.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 19 th at 2:00 PM at the Senior Center at Littleton, 77 Riverglen Lane, Littleton, NH.
