Thomas Headley Obituary

Thomas Neal Headley, 62 passed peacefully into heaven at his home in Littleton, NH on January 13, 2022, with his family at his side. Thomas was a courageous hero and fought bravely in his battle against cancer. He was the youngest son of Holland and Marion Headley. He was born on April 13, 1959, in Cincinnati, OH. Thomas was the youngest of 5 children.
Thomas was an amazing, gifted, and spiritual man and devoted husband. He was very close to God, attended mass, and loved to share the Lord with his family and friends. Thomas lived fully for his family and when they needed him, he was there in a pinch. There was no river wide enough, no mountain high enough to keep him from helping his wife and children. He would do anything for his wife, Claireann. She was his greatest joy and his whole world revolved around her and her happiness. He would regularly be found in the kitchen cooking with her. Their love and devotion to each other was so evident by everyone around them. Thomas was such a very loving, caring man with an extra big heart.
Thomas was a very proud American serving in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. He was an expert Sharpshooter and received several medals for his expertise. He served his country roughly 17 years and took that same dedication throughout life as a volunteer firefighter, helping others in need. His chosen career was as a Safety Engineer, designing workplace safety and OSHA programs always ensuring others' safety. Thomas was a dedicated Catholic and served as a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. As a Fourth Degree Knight he served as Religious Director for the State of Vermont.
Thomas truly enjoyed his hobbies which included hunting especially bow-hunting. Enjoying hiking and the outdoors with his wife and playing board games with his family. Thomas loved to play Cribbage with his wife Claireann. Playing Dungeons and Dragons with his lifelong friend Craig was another favorite. He was a talented woodworker, enjoying creating furniture and refurbishing old homes. Thomas was most passionate about going to Mass, the Holy Bible, and devotion to The Sacred Heart. He liked to collect rare guns, rifles and loved reading. Family would typically comment on the intelligence and infinite knowledge Thomas possessed.
Thomas leaves behind his beloved wife – Claireann and children – Nicolle, David, Gabrielle, Danielle, and Jeffrey; with his 12 grandchildren. He is survived by his siblings: Nancy, Deborah, Vicky, and David Headley. Thomas is most loved and will surely be missed by all.
