Susan Jean (LaCroix) Shepard, age 71 of Dalton, passed away peacefully at home with her family on September 13, 2023.

She was born May 11, 1952 in Massachusetts to Gertrude (LaPointe) and Raymond LaCroix. She was married to the love of her life, Gregory Shepard for 47 years. She was employed at Burndy’s for many years before her retirement. Her hobbies included making amazing crafts for friends and family including wood working and painting, making ornaments and cards. She enjoyed spending time with her family and pugs.

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Shepard and wife Tracy; grandchildren – Michael (Amy), Kayla (Zac), Jeffrey (Kaela) and 4 great grand-children. Her daughter, Vicki Howe and husband Brandon; grandchildren Trevor (Kelsea), Tashara (Patrick), Dylan (Julia) and 7 great grandchildren. Granddaughter Maria (Tucker) and 3 great grandchildren. Grandson Dakota Shepard. Brothers Kevin LaCroix and wife Denise; Kenny LaCroix and wife Ana; Brian LaCroix; Allen LaCroix; and sister Doreen and husband Ron; along with nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Greg, son Gregory, 2 grandchildren – Zackery and Jessie and both of her parents and brother David.
