Stephen "Mike" Smith

Stephen ‘Mike’ Smith, 69 of Littleton, New Hampshire and Leesburg, Florida, passed away on December 17, 2023, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Born May 7th, 1954, in Littleton, N.H. to the late Franklin and Dorothy (Cote) Smith of Bethlehem. Mike’s journey led him from Littleton Mini Motors with his brother-in-law before venturing off on his own opening a small shop in Apthorp, appropriately called Mike Smiths Small Engine Repair. With continued success and growth in his own business, he moved to another larger location before partnering with Donald Lavoie at Exit 41 and later at P&S Equipment. His expertise in small engines earned him widespread respect in the field. Beyond Mike’s gruff exterior, he was the most honest and loyal friend. He was predeceased by his mother Dorothy Smith, his father Franklin Smith, big brother Gerald “Butch” Smith and a beloved sister Judy “Sis” Hucksoll. Mikes impact on family and friends remains profound.

Survived by his wife and best friend of 43 years Lisa Boynton-Smith. Mike leaves behind his two children, daughter Jessica Therrien of Ohio, a son Ryan Smith of Conway NH, as well as his
grandchildren Sabryna ‘Goober’ Lloyd and her husband Hunter of Pennsylvania, Aliya Therrien of Ohio, Alexis ‘Lulu’ Smith and grandson Dylan ‘Buddy’ Smith both of Conway NH. A great
grandson Damien ‘Big D’ Lloyd, who held a special place in his heart. Mike is also remembered by his sister Kathy Baker and brother-in-law Lance, and a brother John. 
His weekends spent camping with his grandchildren all over New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine, the joy of ice fishing and yearly vacations on the beach are forever cherished
memories.

A celebration of life is planned for his birthday, May 7, 2024. More details will be shared at a later date to honor a man whose legacy continues in the hearts of those who
