Stephen Sullivan Jr. Obituary

Stephen Francis Sullivan Jr., passed away unexpectedly on Monday, at the age of 65, surrounded by his loving wife and his devoted sister.

Born on May 24, 1961, to Theresa and Stephen Sullivan Sr., in Brockton, Massachusetts, Stephen spent much of his early life growing up and living in Brockton, where he discovered his interests, made lifelong friends, and grew up surrounded by a supportive and caring family.

In spite of his driver’s license displaying the name “Stephen” - to his family and friends, he was fondly and most often known as “Wilfe.”

From the time he was young, Wilfe developed a passion and a lifelong fascination and love for model trains. He spent many weekends traveling with his cherished father to different train destinations and landmarks.

Stephen attended Brockton schools, and graduated from Cardinal Spellman High School in 1979. He later attended trade school, earning his electrician's license, and went on to build a successful career as an electrician, becoming a member of Local 103. He diligently worked for Eversource for many years until his recent retirement.

As a young man, Wilfe lived in Plymouth and then Carver, Massachusetts, where he built his life and home with his beloved wife, Mary Riordan Sullivan. Wilfe and Mary have most recently relocated to Whitefield, New Hampshire, to be closer to his parents and siblings.

Stephen is survived by his devoted wife, Mary (Riordan) Sullivan, of Whitefield, New Hampshire; and also by his caring mother, Theresa Sullivan, of Whitefield, NH.

Wilfe is also survived by his siblings: James Sullivan and his wife Diane, of Taunton, Massachusetts; Margaret (Sullivan) Parenteau and her husband Richard, of Whitefield, New Hampshire; Anne Sullivan and her partner Michael Pearson, of Arlington Heights, Illinois; and Paul Sullivan and his wife Marilyn, of Monroe, New Hampshire; along with many treasured nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, and friends.

He was predeceased by his father, Stephen Sullivan Sr.

The family has decided to celebrate Stephen's life privately and is grateful for the love and support they have received.
