Stephen F. Sullivan

Stephen F. Sullivan, age 92, of Whitefield, NH, formerly of Brockton, died on April 26, 2024. He was the husband of Theresa M. (Merchant) Sullivan for nearly 70 years. Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late Daniel J. and Mary E. (Hamrock) Sullivan. Stephen was a graduate of St. Patrick Grammar School and Brockton High School, class of 1950; he attended Lincoln Institute and Northeastern University. For 39 years he worked for the telephone company as a radio technician and retired in 1997. Stephen had been a member of the South Shore Radio Control Club since 1969. He also enjoyed photography, flying model planes, traveling, spending winters in Florida and cruises.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: James and Diane Sullivan of Taunton, MA; Margaret and Richard Parenteau of Whitefield, NH; Stephen and Mary Sullivan of Whitefield, NH; Anne Sullivan and Mike Pearson of Arlington Heights, IL and Paul and Marilyn Sullivan of Monroe, NH. He was “Papa” to eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the last member of a large Campello section of Brockton family: John “Jack” Sullivan, Mary “Maize” Johnson, Noreen “Pat” Flynn, Daniel “Dan” Sullivan, James “Ed” Sullivan, Francis “Fran” Sullivan, Theresa “Tee” Savignano and Kevin “Skip “Sullivan.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton on Thursday, May 2, from 4-7pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Friday at 9:30am for a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10:30am. Burial will be held at a later date in the Massachusetts National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to North Country Home Health & Hospice, 536 Cottage St., Littleton, NH 03561 or The Summit by Morrison, 56 Summit Drive, Whitefield, NH 03598.
