Sister Monique was a very focused person, always striving to share her spirituality of making the Sacred Heart of Jesus known and loved, which is the mission of our religious Congregation.  Sister’s love for God and nature shined through in her competent skills as a communicator, in teaching in various states of our US Province, namely: Champlain, NY, Newport and Burlington. Later in life, after professional training, Sister served as a spiritual director on staff at Berakah Center in Pittsfield, NH.  Many individuals from all walks of life, sought her guidance in their spiritual lives.  Retreat animation became an important mission in her serving various religious congregations as well as for our Associate Group in the US Province,

Sister Monique became a Vicar for Religious in the Diocese of Ogdensburg, NY from 1984 to 1988. In 2005, Sister was appointed as Provincial Superior for the US Province of our Congregation.

Sister Monique is predeceased by her father, Oliva Gagne of Waterloo, QC, her mother, Leonie Langlois (Gagne), of Magog, QC , two brothers, Onide Gagne, Bertrand Gagne, and three sisters, Gisele Gagne, Yolande Goyette, Violette Gagne.  She is survived by a sister, Nicole Gosselin and several nieces and nephews.
