It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roger Allen Clough, Lyman, N.H. at the age of 89 on October 13, 2025 at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital, Portsmouth, N.H. He was born in North Haverhill, N.H. on August 26, 1936 to Leon and Ivis (Hood) Clough.  He went to school in Lyman and Lisbon, N.H.

Roger married Marlene Clifford on November 24, 1956.  During their 54 years together they enjoyed attending each year the North Haverhill Fair, the Lancaster Fair and the Warren Old Home Days. Another love was going to listen to the Parker Hill Band, wherever they were playing, and going for rides at night looking for deer and he loved to go fishing. Roger loved his dogs, he used to dress Jack up at every holiday and take him out to the public. His last dog was Ruby, who he wanted to be buried with, which he will be.

He was a member of the NH National Guard for 20 years, retiring as a Sgt. with the title of Food Service Specialist, (meaning he was a great cook.) Roger also gained the nick name Popeye.  He was very proud of his military service.

Roger worked at many jobs throughout his life, a few were Lyman Road Agent, Clifford Construction, he became quite a talented carpenter, worked for his brother, Roy Clough, worked at Newman Lumber Co., and for Walter Young as a carpenter.  He was one of the first employees when Walmart come into town, many would remember him as one of the first greeters there.  He loved talking to people and helping them whenever he could. Roger is predeceased by his wife Marlene on April 18, 2010, his parents, a daughter, Peggy Lee, four brothers, Armand, Ralph, Roy and Dennis as well as two sisters Rita Monahan and Rena Bozarth.
