Robert Randall Obituary

Robert Richard Randall, 85 of Lisbon, New Hampshire; passed away on May 11, 2024, with family by his side. He was born on November 2,1938 in Littleton, New Hampshire to Phyllis (Guilmette) Randall and Clarence (Jimmy) Randall, alongside his sister, Marlyn. Robert’s life was that of trials and successes, as spontaneous as it was well-intentioned; there was never a dull moment as long as he saw fit. Before a four-year tenure with the National Guard, Robert married Joyce Parent, a woman from the next town over who would eventually become his muse for the next sixty-two years. In a partnership as rare as it was captivating, Robert donned the gift of fatherhood with pride, and earned his role as the sole provider for the family he built without ever batting an eye. He embraced many professions during his lifetime, from auto-mechanics, to carpentry, plumbing, construction, metal fabrication, and furniture manufacturing, amongst many other trades.  Robert approached each craftsmanship with nothing less than absolute perfection. Unabashedly honest with his words, and even more so with his opinions, one could never leave a room without knowing his point of view on a situation. The underlying current of his stances always hinted of caution, because Robert was a protector at heart. He loved his family dearly and wanted nothing more than success and happiness for them all; this cannot be understated. If he ever gave you a hard time, that probably meant he loved you too, because that was his way. Robert also loved nature, he loved the woods, he loved quiet moments on walks with his wife, Joyce, he loved his dogs, hunting, fishing, hiking, crafting, cooking; and anything he could make with his hands would make him happy. When he was happy, it was impossible to ignore, and will forever be impossible to forget.

Robert is survived by his two daughters: Mary (Jay) McDonald and Lisa (Chad) Romprey, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his son, Danny, and wife, Joyce. We will always cherish the mark he’s left on our souls.

A burial for Robert and Joyce will be held at the Landaff Cemetery on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 11:00 AM.
