Rena (Charland) Elliott

Rena (Charland) Elliott, 84 of Littleton went to Heaven on March 14th after a long illness. Rena was born on June 7th, 1937 in Littleton, NH to parents, Frank Charland and Ethel (McLeod) Charland.  She was raised in Bethlehem NH. Rena went to St Rose of Lima school.  She learned to love roller skating through her sister Jane. She went roller Skating, in Twin Mtn, at Dream World, as a young girl with her sister June, whom she shared a car with. She married Larry Elliott,  in 1960, at the St. Rose of Lima Church in Littleton.  Rena worked as a young woman at Coney’s Motel in Franconia Notch and also worked at Connor’s and Hoffman Shoe Shop in Littleton.  She also worked several other jobs during her life. She loved going on car rides with her family.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and she dearly loved her precious cat Minni Pearl. She loved taking pictures and also documenting the many changes that have happened on the street she lived on. She is predeceased by her brother Arnold(Pean) Charland, sister Linda Dalglish, and nephew Bruce Charland.    

Rena is survived by her husband of 62 years Larry Elliott Sr, predeceased by her daughter Baby Marie, and survived by her daughter Donna and her husband Jon Blackey and their two children Joseph and Abigail, by her daughter Debbie and her husband Harold Aldrich, and by her son Larry Jr.  Rena is also survived by her sisters Jane Grimes, June Elliott, Janet, and Tom McKay, and Sally and John Anderson, and sister-in-Law Lois Charland and many nieces, nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held graveside at Glenwood Cemetery on Saturday, June 11th at 11 am with Reverend Lyn Winter officiating.
