For 10 years he was Superintendent of Paper at Pejepscot Paper until a flood forced the closer of that paper mill. After that he and Betty Ann moved back to New Hampshire and settled at their long-time camp on Dodge Pond in Lyman. He then worked 10 years at New England Wire in Lisbon until his retirement, almost 20 years ago.
