Olga Jordan Obituary

Olga “Gay” (Matuzek) Jordan, 99, passed away peacefully on February 17 th at AdviniaCare-Northbridge Campus, Northbridge MA. Olga was born November 11, 1923, in S. Grafton MA, daughter of the late John and Albina (Tomkiewicz) Matuzek. She was a World War II veteran and served in the Marines from 1944 to 1946. After Olga’s discharge from the service, she married Maurice “Bud” Jordan of Twin Mountain NH, where they raised their family and operated seasonal cabins and a gas station for many years. Olga also worked for other small businesses in the area, after the closure of the cabins and station. Olga loved her life up in the White Mountains and was her happiest when she was outdoors mowing her lawn or shoveling snow. She had an amazing ability to see the good in everything and everyone. Olga was always happy, always laughing and whistling, and she treasured the many friends she made over the years. Olga is predeceased by her husband Maurice “Bud” Jordan, sons Kenneth Jordan and Steven Jordan, along with four sisters and three brothers.

Olga is survived by her daughter Pamela Jordan (Ken Washwell) of Millbury MA, granddaughter & great-granddaughter Christin and  Lauren Schoettle of Savannah GA, grandson Alex Corey of Weaverville NC, along with several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 23, 11:30 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Twin Mountain, followed by a graveside service at St. Margaret’s Cemetery, Twin Mountain NH.
