Gordon Webster Jr. Obituary

Gordon Edward Webster Jr., age 72, St. Johnsbury, VT, passed away Monday, July 7th, 2025, at his home with his wife and two daughters by his side after a courageous battle with ALS.

Born on October 16th, 1952 in St. Johnsbury, VT to Gordon E. Webster Sr and Evelyn M. Pelletier Webster. Gordy graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy as a member of the class of 1970, where he met the love of his life, Maureen Lowell Webster, with whom he shared 52 years of marriage.

In high school, he worked for Shop and Save Food Markets. After High school, he went on to work at French and Bean Wholesale Grocers until they closed. He worked at Dowling Distributors as a salesman for 40 years until they sold out. He then went to work for Hibbert and McGee until he retired at the age of 66. Driven by his love for lawn maintenance, he worked part-time at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. He took great pride in the work he did.

Gordy enjoyed being outside gardening, mowing his lawn, and talking to anyone who walked by. He had a passion for sports, especially baseball and football (As a lifelong supporter of the Boston Red Sox and New York Giants). Gordy loved watching his grandchildren play numerous sports such as soccer, basketball, hockey, baseball, softball, and track and field. He was always coaching them either be it on the field, from the sidelines, or playing official from the stands. He found immense joy in watching them play! Family was the heart of everything he did and cherished every moment with them.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the team from Home Health and Hospice for their unwavering support and care. They are also sincerely thankful to all the friends, especially Howie Stahler, Jeffrey Handy, and the class of 1970, who took the time to check in and offer their love and support to Gordy. Gordon was predeceased by his parents Gordon and Evelyn Webster, his sisters Lona Lynaugh and Sandra Densmore, his mother-in-law Mary Lowell, and his father-in-law Daniel Lowell.

He is survived by his wife, Maureen Webster, his daughters Stacy Pinsonneault and husband Joseph, Stephanie Eastman and husband Donald, his two grandsons, Jordan Bergeron and girlfriend Rachel Kelley, Andrew Eastman and girlfriend Sadie Young, and his granddaughter Kaylynn Pinsonneault.
