Garfield Lawrence Trumble Sr, 77, of Concord, NH, passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
He was born November 8, 1947, in Ogdensburg, New York, he was the son of Gordon Edward Trumble and Mary Leona (Montroy) Trumble. Following high school, Garfield proudly served his country in the United States Navy from October 28, 1965, to November 7,1968, as an Interior Communications Electrician Third Class (IC3). His tour included two years, four months, and sixteen days of foreign and/or sea service, with final duty aboard the submarine tender USS Orion (AS-18). He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and received an Honorable Discharge.
After his military service, Garfield earned an associate in science degree from DeKalb College in 1972. From 1971 to 1979 he served his community as a police officer and detective with the DeKalb County Sheriff Department. For most of the remainder of his career he worked in the security field, most notably providing security for the Tennessee Titans training facility in Nashville, TN in 1999, followed by loss-prevention and security roles with various companies.
Garfield was married for a short time at the time of his passing to Katherine LaBarre.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine; his children: son, Garfield Trumble Jr. (Colleen) and daughter Melina Webber (David); his grandchildren: Duncan, Luke, Olivia, and Charlie; his siblings: twin brother, Gordon Trumble (Sharon), sisters, Rebecca Stewart (Robert) and Kimberly Jones (Mark) and another brother, Kent Trumble (Debra). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Mary Leona Trumble, his wife, MaryEllen Jones (Trumble) and by his brother-in-law Mark Jones
