Edna J. Ellingwood, a longtime resident of Littleton and Partridge Lake, has died at age 79 due to declining health issues over the past year.
Born July 29, 1945, in Hartford, CT, she was the 3rd of 4 children to Paul & Alice (Barton) Judkins of Bow, NH. She attended elementary school in Bow then graduated from high school in Concord, NH. She continued her education and graduated from Concord Business College and pursued a career working as a Medical Secretary in various doctor’s offices in Concord then Littleton, NH.
Edna married Earl J. Ellingwood in June of 1983, purchased a home in Littleton where she was a devoted wife until Earl’s passing in 2015. They traveled to Florida in the winter months and had a wonderful group of friends they spent time with, which they really enjoyed. In addition to being a wife and caregiver to her husband, Edna was very talented at sewing beautiful quilts and knitting prayer shawls, both of which she was known to give away to close friends and charitable organizations. She liked to travel and was able to see Ireland in her younger years. She was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband Earl and a sister Lois Judkins.
Edna is survived by her stepdaughter Aaran Ellingwood Cunningham and her husband Robert H. Cunningham IV, a stepson Jay Ellingwood and his girlfriend Lissa, her sister, Dona Young and husband Steve, a brother Ken Judkins and wife Evelyn. Edna was blessed with having 5 grandchildren: Tiffany Cunningham, Robert Sears, Dustin Seppala, Amber Campbell, and Shane Ellingwood as well as several nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will take place in the spring.
