Littleton, NH – Dudley "Dud" K. Letourneau, a beloved husband, father and veteran, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on April 18, 2024, at Littleton Regional Hospital. Born to John and Pauline (Prech) Letourneau on August 4, 1947, in Littleton, NH, Dudley's life was one of service, love, and achievement. Dud graduated from Lisbon High School in 1965, where he excelled in baseball and basketball, later coaching youth sports including Babe Ruth, Little League, and Pee Wee Ball. He joined the military in 1968, serving in Vietnam with the First Infantry Division until 1969. After his military service, Dudley worked in the trucking and insurance fields for many years and later founded a successful telecom business, which he operated until retirement. In retirement, Dudley earned his BS in Human Services graduating Summa Cum Laude from Springfield College in 2018. He then received his Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Goddard College in 2021. He continued his writing and completed his first novel Dirty Snow. Dudley was an avid sports fan, particularly of the Dodgers and Red Sox. Dudley and Sandra enjoyed many cruises in the Caribbean.
Dudley leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Sandra (Mardin) Letourneau; son, Joseph and daughter-in-law Samantha (Morris) Letourneau of West Yarmouth, MA; daughter, Krystal and son-in-law Allen Phillips of Carroll, NH; brother, Daryl and wife Pat of Manchester, NH; sister, Kathy and husband Frank Roach of Concord, NH; several nieces and nephews; and his cherished dogs Bogie and Maggie. He was predeceased by his parents, grandparents, and brothers, Dale Letourneau and David Letourneau.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Shared Ministry Church, 49 South Main Street, Lisbon, on Friday, May 10, 11:00 AM, with Reverend Lyn Winter officiating. A graveside service will immediately follow at Grove Hill Cemetery with Military Honors. Dudley's legacy of resilience, kindness, and perseverance will be cherished and remembered by all who know him.
