DEXTER E. STAFFORD, 91, died on Sunday, June 19. He was born in St. Johnsbury, VT, the son of Cyrus and Susan (Stephens) Stafford. He was a graduate of Lisbon High School. He was a Mechanic and worked for Dexter’s Garage and Lewis Express. He worked jobs for Gerald Winn and Abbot Rental where is was tasked to build a casket for Halloween. He served as a member of the US Army National Guard. Woodworking was a passion of his. He built old antique trucks and planes. He made covered bridges for the Littleton Senior Center. He enjoyed camping and riding his Harley Davidson. He was predeceased by his parents, a grandchild, Lindsay Mansfield, and a sister Vivian MacDonald.
He is survived by his wife Mary Lou who he would have celebrated 69 years of marriage on July 4, three sons, Ronald of Melbourne, FL, Brian, Monroe, NH, William, Littleton, NH, a daughter Lorraine Mansfield, Sanbornville, NH, 4 grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 27, 11:00 AM, at the St. Rose of Lima Church, Littleton, with Deacon Stephen Noyes officiating.
