David B. Hubbard, 83, formerly of Littleton, died on October 24, at the Cottage Hospital after declining health. He was born in Littleton, the son of Edsel F. and Norma (Oakes) Hubbard. He attended the Blue School in Landaff and later graduated from Lisbon Regional. David had a workshop at home which he enjoyed building small projects. He had a few chickens and rabbits at the homestead as well. The disability that he had since birth did not slow this man down. He resided at Grafton County Nursing Home for the past 11 years. While living in GCNH he met a true friend (James Cormiea). Dave would talk about sports with Jim and enjoyed every minute of it. One of David’s wishes was to be able to go to Fenway Park and watch his team, the Red Sox. Jim and Dave’s sister Paula made that come true. Dave was off at Fenway Park with Jim and his family. The smile that no one would ever forget came upon Dave’s face. While at GCNH David still remained busy. He attended activities often, went on bus trips when they were scheduled. Loved to be outside whenever possible watching construction projects going on. He was nicknamed supervisor at one point.
