Dale Jette, 57, passed away August 16, 2021 from cancer. Born February 16, 1964 to Dennis and Elizabeth Jette he grew up in Manchester, NH. In 1982 he graduated from Central High School and studied business at UNH for several years thereafter.
He operated the Hundred Acre Woods Antiques, a sprawling enterprise, for many years in Bethlehem, NH. He greatly enjoyed digging through attics and barns looking for treasures or scouring yard sales to furnish his shop. The search for the next great find was always on his mind. He maintained a vast array of friends in the Antiques trades, including collectors, dealers and customers. For years he was part of the antique fairs in Brimfield, MA, buying, selling and socializing to his heart’s content. In 2019, his shop was featured in Yankee magazine as part of their New England Flavor of Fall.
Dale is survived by his daughter, and absolute pride and joy, Emerson Jette of Bethlehem, NH. His mother Elizabeth Jette and Steven Jette his brother, both of NH, also survive Dale. He maintained long relationships with his girlfriend Holly St Pierre and former wife Brenda Ross Jette of Bethlehem. His greatest friend was his father, Dennis, who passed away in 2019. He is also survived by his nieces Julie (Jette) Dinh-Ngoc and Christine Jette and two grand-nephews Henry and George Dinh-Ngoc.
Dale was a jocular and vocal presence in all environments. To know him was to enjoy the largeness of his sense of humor. He was an avid golfer and member of the Derryfield and Bethlehem golf clubs with 4 hole-in-ones to his credit. Dale was a passionate New England sports fan reveling in the team’s victories and agonizing with the defeats. He also enjoyed trout fishing despite falling into the streams with amazing regularity.
Dale will be forever remembered and dearly missed by his friends, family and associates. Donations honoring Dale’s may be made to the First Tee of New Hampshire.
A celebration for Dale will be held Friday, September 10, 2021 from 5:00-8:00 pm, at the VFW Post 816 Pavillion, Cottage St, Littleton, NH.
