Craig Jay Ainsworth, 55, died suddenly in Claremont, NH, on Thursday, October 12. He was born in North Conway, NH, the son of George Ainsworth and Georgianna (Varney) Robichaud. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Kennett High School. Craig followed in his grandfather’s footsteps becoming an incredible Sous-Chef. He worked at many five-star restaurants in his career. He gave 30 years to The Wentworth Inn when it was owned by Fritz and Ellie. He spent five years in Vale Colorado working and finally returned home and working for the Notchland Inn, Crawford Notch. Craig loved nature, especially fishing. It was not unusual for Craig to pack up a few cans of beans and go camping with his partner and best canine friend Sawyer to Mountain Pond. He enjoyed gardening, family reunions in Bartlett and was a cribbage champ. He was predeceased by his parents and his companion Sawyer.
Craig is survived by his brothers Kevin and Lisa Ainsworth, Richard Jellison, Dennis Conn, sisters Cindy and Doug Clay, Trina Bellen, his Uncle Roger Ainsworth, Aunts, Benny Jesseman, Yvonne Fournier, Amy Edmunds, Karen Grammo, Kathy Gowitzke, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
