Carol A. (Lordi) Ilacqua

Carol A. Ilacqua, 75, of Littleton, N.H., passed away on June 10, 2023 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center after a continuing decline of her health which she fought courageously and willfully. Carol was born on December 23, 1947 in Massachusetts to parents, Anthony and Gertrude Lordi, who predeceased her. She attended Northeastern School of Nursing where she obtained her nursing degree and worked assisting her patients before beginning work at the United States Postal Service where she worked for many years until her retirement. The residents, in which she served in this capacity on her rural route, fondly remembered her for her humor,  attention to detail, milk-bones for the pups and lollipops for the kids. Carol had a massive love for all animals. She had many animal companions throughout the years, and she would quickly make friends with any pet she encountered. She was particularly fond of her goat named Thomas and horse, Saiid. Her home was always a safe place for the animals she rescued and she and her late husband Tony F., were very involved with Second Chance Animal Rescue. Carol also served as Den Mother in her earlier years, providing guidance to her charges alongside her husband when he was Cub Master. Carol and Tony F. were married on May 16, 1970 and soon moved to Merry Mont in Littleton, where they resided until their deaths.

Carol leaves behind her twin boys, Anthony J. (TJ) Ilacqua and his wife Kristyn Ilacqua, and Joseph J. (JJ) Ilacqua of Littleton N.H., and his daughter Kaitlyn Ilacqua as well as her mother Kelley Ilacqua of Franconia N.H., who Carol considered a daughter. Her sister, Donna Grafton of Cohasset MA., as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and Ilacqua family members who she loved very much.
