Barry Duval Obituary

Barry A. Duval of Littleton, NH passed away at home on October 20, 2018 after losing a courageous battle against cancer. His family was at his bedside. He was born in Greenfield MA April 27, 1962, a son of Raymond A. and Doris E. Duval. He attended Oxbow High School in Bradford VT.

Barry worked most recently for Black Top Paving, and New England Wire Company in Lisbon. He never missed a day of work and was always on time. He loved NASCAR and was a huge Dale Earnhardt fan. He loved fiddling around with lawnmowers and racing them. Cooking was his specialty. He could create the most wonderful meals and awesome desserts. He also enjoyed making furniture. From his days working at DCI where he would take his lunchtime to whip up knick-knack shelves and other interesting pieces of furniture. Woodworking continued through his life. His love for dogs was well known. He had a special love for Sparky, who he found abandoned and was with him for 14 years. After Sparky died and a brief time with no dog Barry adopted a dog from a shelter. Drake is a wonder dog who has sat beside him through his bout with cancer.

He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Doris, an infant brother Robert Raymond, sister Dianna Duval Scherer and the recent death of his brother Raymond Robert “Bob” Duval.

Surviving members of his family include his wife and lifelong companion Holly Ricci and her children and grandchildren, siblings Linda Whitcomb and husband Elwin of Bradford VT, Lori Davidson and family of Piermont NH, Tiffany Duval and son Hunter from North Haverhill, Melissa Parker and husband Rodney, and many nieces and nephews.
