Scott T Palmer

Scott T. Palmer, “Scottie” age 58, a longtime resident of Danville, went to be with his Lord on Friday June 28, 2019, surrounded by his loving family and close friends. Scott was born in Woodsville, NH on July 20, 1960 at Cottage Hospital. He was very proud to have been the first male baby born at the new facility. Scott was born to William and Earlene (Brooks) Palmer of Groton VT.

Scott attended Groton Elementary School and Blue Mountain Union High School. His enthusiastic, contagious, joyful demeanor brought a multitude of friends to his life. Far too many to mention all. To say that he lived life large and to the fullest is truly an understatement. He lived a rich multi-faceted existence. A jack-of-all trades, a McGuyver, interested in mastering a multitude of skills. A spiritual man who loved people and gave of himself without question. A true family man committed to making everyone around him happy. He loved farming, water-skiing, anything and everything mechanically challenging, logging, cooking (he was a fantastic gourmet). He was just flippin’ happy. Them “Parmer boys” had an adventurous, perpetually fun-filled childhood.

Scott is survived by his wife Joni Palmer of Danville, his daughter Abbigail Palmer of Danville, his mother, Earlene Palmer of Lyndon, brothers Calvin Blodgett of NM, Willie Palmer and wife Joanne of Lyndonville, Phillip Palmer and wife Lynne of Groton, a sister, Kathy Norris and husband Jim of Lyndon, sister-in-law Donna Blodgette of Barnard, and faithful, ever loyal companion Buddy “Ice Cream” Palmer. He is also survived by nine nephews, 18 nieces, 20 great-nephews, 14 great-nieces, four great-great-nephews, three great-great-nieces, two grand-babies in New Jersey and his very special friend Christine. He is predeceased by his father, a brother Darryl, a niece Carissa Palmer and other loved ones.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday July 9, 2019 from 6:30 to 9 PM at Washburn Masonic Lodge #92, 57 Brainerd Street, Danville, VT. A Celebration of Scott’s Life will be held on Wednesday July 10, 2019 at 11AM at Danville Congregational United Church of Christ, 87 Hill St. Danville VT. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family at the Groton Village Cemetery. Those who wish may make donations in memory of Scott T.
