Pauline Ella Santy Perkins, 94, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2019, at Littleton Regional Healthcare, after a short illness. Pauline was the youngest of 4 children, born to Maurice and Ethel (locke) Santy, in Waterford Vt. Later the family moved to Littleton where she attended local schools. Pauline married Fredrick C Perkins, in 1944, and after spending a year in Texas where Fred served as a Sergeant in the service working in flight instruction. They returned to Littleton where they built their home and had their son Terry. Pauline held down several jobs; The First National Banks, US Ski Magazine, working for Dr. Frank Dudley and Mrs. Gerry Morehouse. But, her favorite job was that of mother and housewife. Polly, gram, will always be remembered for her love of life and the outdoors. She was always the first one to go sledding, pulling the sled with a child on board even at the age of 93. She was the first one to go on all the rides at Santa's Village or the Lancaster fair. She enjoyed snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ice fishing, and deer hunting. The cold would never keep her inside. Riding the Cog railway train to visit the top of Mt. Washington and looking at the foliage from the tramway car and the top of cannon at the young age of 92. If there was someplace to go, something to do, she was ready. Polly was pre deceased by her husband Frederick, her son Terry, her parents, Maurice and Ethel, her sister Maude, her brothers, Robert and Roger.
Survivors include her grandchildren Fred, and Kristie of Littleton, and Teal of St Petersburg, Fl. She also leaves 7 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Her nieces Betty Ann, Jackie, Judy, Patty, and nephew Billy. Her daughter in law, Gail, Aunt-C and Paul, as well as many neighbors and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. The Ross Funeral Home has been entrusted with these services.
