Paul L. Dunham, 73, of Franconia, died Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Littleton Regional Healthcare. He was born in 1943 in Augusta, GA.
He was a graduate of Littleton High School in 1961, the University of New Hampshire with an Associate of Science in 1963, and the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Science in 1966. He taught at schools in Gorham, Littleton, Whitefield, and Lyndonville, VT. He later owned a construction/heavy equipment business.
He enjoyed skiing, gardening, billiards, sailing, square dance calling, and singing. He was a member of the Eagles, Elks, and the North Country Chorus. He long suffered chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
He was predeceased by his parents Lt. Col. Leland R. Dunham in 1951 and Frances (Sweeney) Lytle in 2010. He is survived by his brother Rockwood S. (Marion) Dunham, Whitefield, NH; sons, Gordon P. Dunham, Nashville, TN, and Tony L. (Lindi) Dunham, Manassas, VA; daughter, Jill E. (Dunham) (Babak) Rajaee, Annapolis, MD; granddaughter, Sienna R. Dunham, Nashville, TN; and several nieces and nephew.
A memorial service and reception will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017. The memorial service will be at the Ross Littleton Chapel at 282 West Main Street, Littleton, NH, at 11:00 am, followed by a grave side service at the Glenwood Cemetery in Littleton. The memorial reception will be held at the Littleton Community Center at 120 Main Street from 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm. All are welcome to attend the services and/or the reception.
