Landaff-June Louise Hubbard, 70, passed away on Tuesday, August 8 at the Grafton County Nursing Home. “Junie”, as she was known to family and friends, was born in Franklin on August 14, 1946, the first child of Myrl and June Phelps. She grew up in Danbury, attending school in Danbury and later the Newfound Memorial High School. From there she went on to work as a nurse assistant which is how she met her husband, David Hubbard, and the two married at her family’s farm on June 14, 1975 before making their home in Landaff. June enjoyed handcrafts, reading romance novels, gardening, shopping, and spending time with family. She is predeceased by her parents and her sister Kathleen Colby, who she called Sissie. She is survived by her husband of 42 years and her brothers Don of Chelan, Washington; Myrl Jr., Jim, Dennis and Stanley of Danbury; Dan of North Sutton; sisters Ruby Hill and Audrey Pellegrino of Danbury; and Ruth Bidwell of Penacook; cousins, and dozens of nieces and nephews. Viewing will be held at 1:30 on Saturday, August 12 at the Ross Funeral Home in Littleton followed by a graveside service and committal at the Landaff Center Cemetery, Pastor George Hemway presiding.
