Joan F. Guilmette, 86, Lisbon, died on Friday March 30, 2018 at the Grafton County Nursing Home. She was born in 1931 in Lincoln, NH to Elizabeth (Ingerson) and Thomas Lynch. She attended Lincoln Public Schools through the 7th grade and graduated from Lancaster Academy. Joan went to work at the Groveton Paper Mill as a secretary, where she met Lawrence E. Guilmette. The couple married at the All Saints Catholic Church in Lancaster on August 6, 1955. The couple later moved to Lisbon where Joan worked for the Town of Lisbon for 27 years as an emergency dispatcher. She enjoyed snowmobiling, bowling, and knitting. She was always happy to babysit for family and dear friends.
Joan is predeceased by her parents, husband, a sister, Janice Maynard, a niece, Joann Boshart, and a nephew, Jeffery Moran, and her beloved Lucy. She is survived by three children, Laurie Guilmette, of Lisbon, Barbara Deming and her husband David of Lisbon, Tim Guilmette and his wife Mary of Landaff, four grandchildren, David Deming of Jefferson, Richard Deming and his wife Amanda of McIndoe, VT, Ryan Guilmette of Landaff, and Samantha Lawler and her husband Nick of VA, four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Karter, Preston, and Connor, a nephew Michael Donohue, a neice Patricia Carruthers, special friends, Artie Boutin, Amy Boutin, Abby Macabe, Frankie Blodgett, Elwin and Mary Jane Falkenham.
There will be a memorial service for Joan at the Shared Ministry, white church, 49 So. Main St. Lisbon, on Monday April, 9, 2018 at 11AM. Interment will take place on May 4, 2018 at 1PM at Grove Hill Cemetery in Lisbon.
