Janice A (Yaniga) Thompson

Janice A. (Yaniga) Thompson, 72, of Littleton passed away suddenly on April 10, 2018 in her home.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of Fred and Bernice (Back) Yaniga. Janice was a graduate of St. Augustine Academy High School in Lakewood, Ohio. She married Wilfred in May of 1966 and spent the early years of the marriage caring for her husband, two sons and her home. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Catholic parish, where she enjoyed teaching CCD for 36 years. When her boys were older, she began teaching special education children at Lakeway Elementary School, retiring in 2009 after 25 years. A devoted mother and grandmother, Janice took great joy from her family, especially her three granddaughters. She also enjoyed crafts, participating in church activities, being a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and times laughing with family and friends.

Janice is survived and will be greatly missed by her husband of 52 years, Wilfred (Willie) Sr., 2 sons, Wilfred (Willie), Jr., and John both of NH, a daughter in law, Karen, as well as three grandchildren Sarah, Jennelle and Kaitlyn. She is also survived by two brothers, Fred Yaniga of Cape Coral, FL, and Joseph Yaniga of Brunswick, OH, one sister, Barbara Yaniga of Athol, ID, and twelve nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are Friday April 20, 2018 from 9:30 am – 11:00 am at St. Rose of Lima Church, 82 High St. Littleton, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 with interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery to follow, concluded by a reception at Amerian Legion Post 68, 2400 St. Johnsbury Rd. in Littleton.
