Carol Lorraine (Graves) Pederson, 83, Whitefield, died Monday, November 26, 2018 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon after a period of failing health. She was born in Boston MA on September 29, 1935 to Pearl Daniels and Lawrence Graves, and was raised by Lawrence and Carola Graves. She graduated from Walpole High School in 1953 and Keene Teachers College in 1957. A marriage to William R. Pederson produced four children.
Carol worked as a Home Economics teacher at Claremont High School. Her best summers where spent with her family at camp on Lake Winnepesaukee, taking her children and their friends on boat rides. She was a member of the Concord Badminton Club. Carol loved the New England Patriots, especially Tom Brady. She loved the music of Queen, Neil Diamond, Bocelli, and Elvis Presley as well as watching Michael Jackson dance. She also loved the Kentucky Derby and the Summer Grand Slams. She enjoyed reading and loved her childhood horse Jesse.
Carol is survived by four children, Rebecca Pederson of Carroll, Keith Pederson, of Claremont, Mark Pederson, of New London, and Julianne Segien, of Loudon, four grand-children, Abigail Towne, Hayden Pederson, Carter Segien, and Hannah Segien, a sister Jean McKenzie, and a brother Peter Frostead.
A Celebration of Carol’s Life will be held at the First Congregational Church, Walpole, NH on May 17, 2019 at 11AM.
