Welcome to the memorial page for

Cameron Burns MacDonald

April 26, 1999 ~ September 24, 2017 (age 18) 18 Years Old

Cameron “Cam” Burns MacDonald, 18, Bethlehem, born April 26, 1999 in Littleton, to David and Suzanne (Cady) MacDonald, tragically passed away on Sunday September 24, 2017 in the early morning hours as a result of a car accident. That morning we lost not only a ray of sunshine, but a rising star from our community.

In the short time Cam was here, he made an impact on all of those he met. He had the ability to take the negative and throw it aside, and seek happiness without fear of any judgment that was passed. He lived exuding a gentle kindness, selflessness, a hard to find caring calmness, and a curiosity about everything.

Cam was a vital member of the Profile Class of 2017. He was known for singing his own raps in the classroom and on stage. He played soccer, and basketball, but he found his true character in the unified basketball team. There he could spread his optimism and love for life and others.

Cam spent his summers between working at Summer Recreation programs, and camping with his parents at Sugar Ridge in Danville, Vermont. His positive outlook far outshined the campfires, and lifted the spirits of all who engaged in conversation.

Cam found his true passion at WLTN, delivering music and dialogue to all of those who would listen. He successfully pursued his love of music this year at Lyndon State, and even more as DJ “Slim Macky Mac”. Friends that know him, say he could ‘spit some pretty sick beats’.

He will be remembered by his huge smile and sense of humor. He had a light about him, a way of making others smile even when they didn’t want too. He could make strangers feel like friends. His love for his family, friends and community knew no boundaries.

Cam lived life like it had no limit. We could all take inspiration from it. He couldn’t have expressed it better by stating, “Never let life bypass you without enjoying the simple smiles you are obligated to share with others. A soul cleansing gesture such as a smile has the power to enlighten you for the rest of your days. So please smile life is too short to frown. "

Cam is survived by his parents, David and Suzanne MacDonald of Bethlehem, grandparents, B. Elton and Evelyn Cady of Littleton, and, Julia O’Malley-Keyes of Cape Cod, MA, a sister Allison MacDonald, of Bethlehem, his cat Midget, and his special Sugar Ridge Family. He is predeceased by his grandfather, Ian MacDonald.
