Antonio Santos Azevedo

Antonio Santos Azevedo, 96, of Littleton passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on August 13th from a gradual decline in health at Littleton Regional Hospital.

Antonio was born on October 9, 1921 in Mangualde, Portugal to Antonio Lourenco and Maria da Gloria. At the age of 30, Antonio married Maria Arminda. They had five children and traveled throughout their lives. They lived in Portugal, Brazil, Canada, California, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.

Antonio accomplished all he set out to do in his life. He enjoyed being active, taking walks and floating in the ocean. He was always seen laughing and adored company and telling stories. Antonio loved his family deeply and will be remembered for his kindness and warm smile.

Antonio is survived by his wife Maria Arminda (Goulart) of Littleton, children Antonio "Tony" Santos of Groveton, Jose Azevedo of Littleton, Connie Santos of Winterville, NC and granddaughters Leslie (Santos) Terra, Sheila Costa-Hibbard, Katerina Sourgiadakis, and Sofia Sourgiadakis and six great-grandchildren. Antonio was predeceased by his son Manuel "Manny" Azevedo and daughter Maria Conceicao.

Fr. Mark Dollard will celebrate of Mass of Christian Burial on Friday August 17, 2018 at 10AM at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church 82 High St. Littleton. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery.
