Agnes Ellen (Harrigan) Andross “Aggie,” 92, of Lisbon, died with family at her side at the Grafton County Nursing Home, Sunday, May 20th 2018. She was born in 1925 in Littleton, NH, to Edward and Gertrude (Quimby) Harrigan. Aggie attended the Bethlehem schools and graduated from Plymouth Teachers College in 1947. She married Harry T. Andross on November 26, 1953.
In addition to “taking care of Harry” Aggie devoted her life to teaching children. She was a teacher of business education and physical education for many years at the Lisbon Regional School. She was a coach and referee, active in area horse shows and the local theatre, and of course, an award winning Lilac Time float creator. Aggie was an avid sports fan to her children, grandchildren, and anyone playing for the Lisbon Panthers or Boston. Aggie was an integral part of the Lisbon community.
Family members include her three children, Richard Andross and his wife Elizabeth of Franconia, Barbara Andross Odell and and her husband Gregory of Dalton, and Thomas Andross and his wife Sharie of Lisbon; grandchildren Hillary and Carter Andross, Keegan and Quinlin Odell, Amiee Fryburg, and Ronda Payette; two sisters, Doris Mosher and her husband Alton of Salem, NH, and Edith Carlin, and her husband Andrew of Sanford, ME, and her friend Bev Shaw. She is predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Harry T. Andross (2010), a brother Roy Harrigan (2015), and a sister Eunice Cady (1999), and a dear friend, Marion Callendar.
Rev. Lyn Winter will lead a Celebration of Aggie's Life on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 11 AM at The Shared Ministry, white church.
