William Rogers

William A. Rogers, 75, Bethlehem, passed away on March 9, 2015 at Cottage Hospital, in Woodsville, NH. He was born in 1939 in Waterbury, CT to Harold and Gertrude (Roy) Rogers. Bill attended schools in Waterbury and went on to learn the carpentry trade working in his father's business. He moved to Vermont and owned his own carpentry business as well as working as a long haul truck driver. After moving back to Connecticut he worked as a supervisor for Enterprise Builders as while continuing to work for himself on his own time.

 

Bill retired to New Hampshire and was a communicant and active member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Working as an alter server and singing with the choir. He was a proud 4th degree Knight of Columbus, having been a member for over 25 years he was very active in his council and held several different leadership positions. He enjoyed fishing, being with people, and sitting on his porch talking to neighbors.

 

He is survived by his wife, Doris, children, A. Joseph, David M, Harold, Donna Ubben, William Jr. Jeanne Kirby, James and step daughter Amy Vidler, 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, a sister Joyce Melia, one niece, one nephew, and good friends, the Kings, Ronald McColough and his dog Max. He is predeceased by his parents, second wife Susan Rogers, and parents in law, William and Dorothea Wrenn. Those who wish may make donations in Bill's memory to American Diabetes Association, 249 Canal St. Manchester, NH 03101. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday March 16, 2015 at 10 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Littleton, NH.
