Tressie E (Wurst) Cote

Tressie “Gram” E. (Wurst) Cote, 70, West Glover, VT, passed away, Monday, May 15, 2017 at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury. She was born on December 3, 1946 in Springfield, MA to Philip D. and Elizabeth K. (Kempton) Wurst. She attended Springfield schools and graduated from Commerce High School and started work as a healthcare billing specialist. She continued this work throughout her life, working for numerous healthcare facilities. On August 21, 1982, she married Ronald A. Cote.

Tressie loved spending time with her close family and friends and always felt “the more the merrier”. She loved to travel and enjoyed most her “last minute and spur of the moment” trips. She was always up for a road trip anywhere. She enjoyed shopping and doing for others.

Tressie is predeceased by her Parents, brother Philip D Wurst Jr, sister Mae O Templeman , and daughter Tina M Bulley. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Ronald Cote, a daughter Patricia Ash and her husband Dana of Littleton, step-daughters Debra Lentendre and her husband Rene, Tami Enman and her husband Doug, grandchildren Jennifer Chaples, Kevin Bergdoll, Kristie Wright, and Ashley Bergdoll, great-grandchildren, Rene, Lauren, Caiden, Logan, Colton, and Ryder, nieces, nephews, many friends, and her beloved dog Pixie. Tressie was know as “Gram” to many and also leaves behind numerous “adopted” kids and grand-kids.

A Celebration of Tressie’s Life will be held at her residence on County Rd, West Glover, VT on July 1st at 2PM. Those who wish may make a donation in lieu of flowers to the Community National Bank, PO Box 577, Barton, VT 05822. Her family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Mary Reade and the staff at NVRH for the wonderful caring touch and compassion that she received throughout her stay. They would also like to thank Sean Carroll for his unconditional love and support throughout this difficult time.
