Shannon Landon, 62, of Lisbon NH, passed away Tuesday September 29th at 11:45 am of congestive heart failure while recovering from an accident, at the Morrison nursing home in Whitefield NH.
Shannon was born in Ashland N.H. on November 15, 1952 to her mother Gloria Cummings and father Frederick Dunlap and was raised by her mother and her step-father Vance Cummings. Shannon was raised with 5 siblings and had 4 other siblings from her biological father Frederick Dunlap. Shannon enjoyed a 38 year common-law relationship with her partner Carl Marsh Sr. They did everything together; rarely did you ever see one without the other. Her hobbies included cooking, baking, sewing, enjoying car rides with Carl. She also enjoyed cookouts, decorating on holidays like Halloween and Christmas, and visiting yard sales. Although often misunderstood, Shannon was a loving and caring individual. She is survived by her sons Scott Landon (Karen) of Lisbon N.H. and David Landon (Amy and grandson Rajko) of Gilman V.T., her sisters Loretta Paige Berryan, Gerri Laprès, Valerie Landon, Autumn Conkey, brother Russell Dunlap, along with 7 nieces and 5 nephews, as well as her cat Sasha. Shannon is pre-deceased by her beloved life partner Carl Marsh Sr., (December 2010) her loving talented grandson Brendon Landon (September 30,2013), her daughter inlaw Sherra Landon (July 4, 2010), her sisters Pauline Conkey and Jackie, her brothers Mike Landon and Michael Dunlap and 2 nieces and 1 nephew. Her family would like to thank Val Poulsen and wife of Littleton NH, for all they has done to help Shannon throughout the years.
Visiting Hours will be Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Ross Funeral Home, 282 West Main St. Littleton, from 9:30 to 11 followed by a Celebration of Shannon's Life. Interment will then follow at the Orford West Cemetery.
