Roberta (Redmond) Hook

Roberta “Bobbi” J. Redmond Lund Hook, age 74, passed peacefully surrounded by family at home in Dalton, New Hampshire, on Friday, February 9, 2018. Born March 17, 1943, in Orleans, Vermont, to Arthur and Germaine (Paquette) Redmond. In 2005 she re-kindled with her first love and entered into a loving marriage to Kenneth Hook on August 5, 2015.

A true New Englander at heart -- trying out California only to realize Vermont was home for most of her life -- until she settled into her forever home in New Hampshire. Before her retirement she worked in machine shops and retail. She enjoyed people and helping anyone she could. She was a firm believer that her glass was ALWAYS half full and never half empty. She was a strong shoulder to cry on for many.

Bobbi enjoyed sewing and crochet. She hated shoes and was truly comfortable feeling the grass between her toes. She loved to cook, hunt and fish. She could re-build the motor in your car, build you a house, run the plumbing and electrical and be soft enough to be the best mother, sister, aunt, friend and role model anyone could ever have.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Hook of Dalton, NH. Her Son Robert Hook of Norwich, VT and his previous wife Roena Belanger of OK; Her daughter Kathleen Lund and wife Bonnie Gaudette of Sharon, VT; Her Son Stanley Lund Jr. and partner Crystal Pierce of Middlesex, VT; Her daughter Holly Ross and husband David of North Troy, VT; Her Brother Mike Redmond of SC; Her sister Nancy Hubbard and husband Ronald of Lunenburgh, VT, Her sister Kathy Hamel and husband Wilfred of New Boston, NH; and her faithful and loving companion that always greeted her with huge slobbery kisses, Ginger. She is also survived by many extended family members, Carroll Brunelle and wife Jesse of Bethlehem, NH; Craig Brunelle of Hudson, MA; Christine McGuigan and husband John of Hudson, MA; Gordon Hook and wife Wanda of Littleton, NH; Valerie Wright and husband Danny of Gilman, VT; Richard Hook and wife Tina of Sebago Lake, ME; and by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and cousins. Bobbie was preceded in death by her first husband, Stan; Her daugher Virginia; Her father, Arthur; Her mother, Germaine; Her brother Donnie; and her sister Janet.

Visiting Hours will be from 1-3PM on Sunday, February 18, 2018, at Ross Funeral Home, 282 West Main Street, Littleton, NH with a reception and Celebration of Life to follow. Burial will be at Cushman Cemetery on Friday May 18, 2018 at 11AM.

Thank you to the staff and volunteers from Hospice that took such good care of Bobbi in the last few weeks of her life. They helped her transition to be so much easier. She truly appreciated and adored each of you.
