Roberta (Luxford) Holmes, 73 of Lisbon passed away unexpectedly after a sudden illness on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Portmouth Regional Hospital.
Roberta was born in Woodsville, NH in 1941. She was the daughter of the late Robert Luxford, Claudis (Brown) Mossey and Winfred (Skeet) Mossey. Roberta was a graduate of Lisbon Regional High School class of 1959.
Roberta worked for the New England Telephone company for many years and at Connors Footwear from 1981 until her retirement in 2007.
Roberta enjoyed spending time with her family, taking care of her beloved cats, playing bingo and going to yard sales.
Roberta is survived by her companion of 14 years, Richard MacDonald; Four Children, Karen Little and husband John, Scott Holmes and companion Kimiko, Claudia Holmes and companion Dayle and Kathi Holmes; Eleven Granchildren, Christopher & Casey Little, Scott, Kaitlyn, Mariko & Ricky Aldrich-Holmes, Kevin Desautels, Roberta & Keith Holmes, Kirk Tobin and Kimberly Stewart. Seven Great-Grandchildren; Colin, Reese, Leighton, Jaycob, Bentlee, Jackson & Jayde.
In addition to her parents, Roberta was predeceased by her Husband, Perley Holmes, her Son, Keith Holmes and her Grandson, Jonathan Holmes.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Lisbon Life Squad, Attn: Dave Combs, Lisbon, NH 03585.
A celebration of Roberta’s life will be held at the American Legion at 2400 St. Johnsbury Rd, Littleton, NH on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11 am. Interment will take place at Center Cemetery in Landaff at the convenience of the family.
