Kathleen "Kay" (Driscoll) Johnson

Kathleen (Kay) Driscoll Johnson, 93, of Bethlehem went to eternal rest, on December 19, 2016 at Littleton Regional Healthcare.

Our beloved Kay was born on June 3, 1923, the third of four daughters to Arthur Driscoll and Ethel Brennan Driscoll in White Plains, NY. She attended The Mount de Chantal in Wheeling, WV before graduating from Emma Willard in Troy, NY.

Kay attended DePauw University in Indiana where she met her husband and best friend, Ned. They were married in 1943 in Beverly Hills, CA. On September 22, Ned and Kay celebrated their 73rd anniversary.

A favorite place of Kay’s was “The Lake” where she spent many summers of her life. This Lake experience cemented the bonds of the extended family now going into its 4th generation. Kay was dedicated to her faith, husband and eight children. She volunteered with several charity organizations. She was an avid reader, and an accomplished knitter.

Kay is survived by her loving husband, Ned and five sons: James of W. Suffield, CT, Mark of Bradford, VT, Philip (Bobbi) of W. Suffield, CT, Brian (Stacy) of Heath, TX, Stephen (Marva) of Winter Garden, FL, and 3 daughters: Dale of Sarasota, FL, Carol (Rodney) of Bethlehem, NH, and Amelia (Charles) of Hopkinton, MA. In addition, 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Kay died with grace and dignity, surrounded by love and her family. She will be missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of Kay’s life will be held at St. Rose of Lima Church in Littleton, NH on December 27 at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive visitors at 9:30 at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Rose of Lima Church, The Dana Farber Cancer Institute, or a charity of one’s choice.
