It's been over a month now as hard at that is to believe, but I look over across the street every evening looking for the light by her chair, to know that she's ok and reading still another book.
Flora "Jo" was my extended family and as much as you always know this time is coming it never sinks in until the loved one is gone, but I know that she's with me each and every day as is the rest of my family that have gone before, and as with them I hold onto all those wonderful memories to keep her and all the other close until we meet again. Love you Jo and miss you each and every day, God Bless.

To Flora's Family,

I grew up in Twin Mountain and remember her snack bar well. We used to go there all the time. Our Young family have so many great memories of not just Flora but her family as well. Her Dad worked at the old Twin Mountain School and the Jordan family were my family's best friends growing up. My parents used to play cards at the Jordan's house and my brother, John and I played "spook" in their cellar, caught fireflies and wrote on their cabins with them. Sunday mornings Gay cooked breakfast on her old stove in their cellar. Pami was younger than my brother and I but we fondly remember our time with Kenny and Stevie. Losing Kenny in the Vietnam War hit everyone in Twin Mountain pretty hard. My brother still has Kenny's military photo in his office to this day. Stevie was the ONLY one who called me Marcia Ann right up until he passed. The Jordan's took care of my brother and I when my Dad had his heart attack until my grandmother could come to care for us. Flora was someone EVERBODY knew if you lived in Twin Mountain. EVERYBODY! She was a great lady. She will be missed by everyone that grew up in our small town. This is a very sad loss for the town of Twin Mountain. Unfortunately, there are very few originals left in Twin Mountain now. Flora was one of the originals and she'll be missed.

Sympathy to the Jordan Family,
Marcia, John, and Mary Young
