Clarence Dodge

May 16, 1945 ~ November 17, 2017 (age 72) 72 Years Old

Clarence E. Dodge, 72, of Littleton passed into God’s hands on Friday November 17, 2017 after courageously undergoing multiple cancer treatments.

Born May 16, 1945 to Gertrude (Howland) and Roy Dodge, Clarence was one of eleven children raised on the Dodge farm in Lisbon.  He married Jean (Baines) Dodge on October 25, 1980 and their daughter Kelly was born in November of 1982.

Clarence spent most of his working life as a mechanic and gas station attendant, working his way to assistant manager of two local stations.  Clarence enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and spending summer days at the family camp on Streeter Pond.  An avid lover of animals, he also delighted in spending time with his beloved Siberian husky, Sasha. Despite facing a serious lifelong illness, Clarence was a devoted father and always provided for his family.  His subtle sense of humor brought joy to his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Jean Dodge of Littleton, daughter Kelly (Dodge) O’Brien and granddaughter Katelyn Clare O’Brien of Pembroke, sister and brother-in-law Alice and Bob Wilson of Littleton, sister and brother-in-law Louise and Sam Myrick of Alabama, sister Maureen Sweeney of Littleton, sister Florence McFarland of Florida, brother and sister-in-law David and Sharon Dodge of Littleton, brother Herbert Dodge of North Carolina, brother Gene Dodge of Littleton, brother-in-law Earl Baines of Littleton, sister-in-law Ann CT Breault of Florida, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Clarence was predeceased by his brothers Donald Dodge, Willie Dodge, and Robert Dodge; brother-in-law Robert Sweeney; brother-in-law Richard McFarland; and sister-in-law Louise Smith and her husband Richard (Dick) Smith.

Visiting Hours will be Tuesday November 21 from 6-8PM at Ross Funeral Home, 282 West Main St. Littleton, NH.  Funeral Services will be held at the New Life Assembly of God, 475 Whitefield Rd, Bethlehem, NH on Wednesday November 22 at 10AM followed by interment at Glenwood Cemetery in Littleton.  Donations may be made to Second Chance Animal Rescue ( http://www.secondchancear.org/home/donate ), 1517 Meadow Street, Littleton, NH 03561.
