Audrey P (Higgins) Richard

Audrey P. (Higgins) Richard, 92, of Littleton, died at the Belvedere of Westlake, Ohio Sunday, March 13, 2016. Audrey and her late husband, Joseph had moved to Ohio last year to be near their daughter, Linda and her family.

She was born February 22, 1924 in Exeter, NH to Iva (Collishaw) and Alfred H Higgins. She attended Robinson Female Seminary, Exeter.

Audrey, was an active volunteer in her community primarily with the Littleton Hospital and her church, All Saint's Episcopal where she lovingly tended the outdoor gardens and cared for the choir robes for many years. She also worked on and off for many years at the Cut 'n Sew fabric store.

A fiber artist, Audrey enjoyed making anything by hand. She knit, crocheted, sewed and quilted. She entered many quilt shows and even had an original quilt block published in a national quilting magazine. An avid golfer, she brought home many trophies while playing at the Bethlehem Country Club. She also enjoyed playing tennis with her husband and daughter.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph, her son, David Harrison Richard and her brother, Alfred H Higgins. She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Tom) Waitrovich of Westlake, OH and their children, Kayla, Kevin and Brian. Her daughter-in-law, Maureen (Cullen) Richard and grandsons, Michael and Matthew all of Epping, NH.

Visiting Hours will be Sunday March 20, 2016 from 4:30 to 6:30 at Ross Funeral Home, 282 West Main St. Littleton, NH 03561. Audrey's life will be celebrated on Monday

March 21, 2016 at 11AM at the All Saints Episcopal Church, 35 School St. Littleton, NH, internment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery.
